Version history of the SCG Stats Hub

Versions follow major.minor.patch (1.x.y) — minor bumps add features or new data views, patch bumps cover fixes and refinements. Data is extracted from the official monthly Excel scorebooks and match-day PDFs.
v1.6.0July 28, 2026
Added⭐ Record Over card on the July 26, 2026 scorecard, commemorating KM’s perfect over — 6 wickets, 0 runs (1–0–6). That game day is starred in the Game Day list.
AddedAn Insights view on every Player Profile (toggle beside Career / 2025 / 2026): the position a player bats best, the position they usually bat, average runs at each position, and who they play most and least often alongside.
AddedPlayer Profile now lists every Player-of-the-Day win with its date, plus Last Trophy, Innings and Matches cards. The selected season is highlighted in each card’s year split.
ChangedMatch Momentum now draws smooth, rounded run-worms and runs at a gentler pace on phones and tablets (it eases in and out instead of starting and stopping abruptly).
ChangedWeek-on-week movement (+runs, ▲/▼ average, +wickets) now shows only for the season in progress — 2025 is complete, so its leaderboards are shown clean.
FixedDropdowns now rebuild themselves automatically whenever their list changes, so they can never go blank or unselectable again.
v1.5.0July 28, 2026
AddedBest by Batting Position in the Batting tab — pick a spot in the order (opener, 2nd, 3rd …) and see who averages the most runs there this season.
AddedAverage runs by batting position on each Player Profile.
AddedWeek-on-week change on the leaderboards — the Batting table shows runs gained and whether the average went up or down since the latest game day; the Bowling table shows wickets gained.
AddedRuns Conceded and Conceded / Match columns to the Bowling table, and a Conceded/match line to the Rivalry Deep-Dive comparison.
v1.4.1July 28, 2026
FixedYou can now pick players again in Analysis → Player vs Player and Dismissal Breakdown — the new dropdowns weren’t populating their lists.
DataAdded July 19 and July 26, 2026. 2026 now covers 25 game days.
AddedMatch Footage for July 12, 19 and 26.
v1.4.0July 19, 2026
AddedLeaderboard Race — a new tab with an animated bar-chart race showing the season standings build month by month (runs or wickets).
AddedMatch Momentum in the Scorecards tab — a run-worm of each team’s innings from the exact fall-of-wickets, with every wicket labelled by batter and runs, plus a Win % replay. Switch views with the Scorecard / Momentum / Footage toggle.
AddedRivalry Deep-Dive in the Analysis tab — pick two players to see who wins the matchup across eight career metrics, plus the head-to-head dismissal breakdown.
AddedMatch Footage in the Scorecards tab — watch every game day’s full video (all Batter’s End & Bowler’s End parts) from the SCG YouTube channel.
DataAdded July 12, 2026 (no play on June 28 or July 5). 2026 now covers 23 game days.
ChangedReorganised the tabs: the Analysis tab now holds Rivalry Deep-Dive, Player vs Player and Dismissal Breakdown; the Consistency Index and the Dismissal Network were retired. Refreshed dropdowns and smoother animations throughout, tuned for phone and tablet.
v1.3.5June 22, 2026
FixedThe Scorecards Highest Runs card now shows the top run-scorer across the whole day (summed over all innings), not the single best innings — and it shows ties (e.g. June 21: Dr. M & KM, 33 each). The Highest Wickets card handles ties the same way.
v1.3.4June 22, 2026
ChangedPlayer Profile now opens on the first player alphabetically (Archit), matching the dropdown order.
FixedDropped the stray blank “0” row that could appear at the bottom of a points table (June 21 source corrected, and the parser now ignores nameless/numeric rows).
v1.3.3June 22, 2026
DataJune 21, 2026 added — 2026 now spans 22 game days. Dr. M’s Player-of-the-Day double (33 runs, 7 wickets, a four-in-an-over) is in; the day finished honours-shared, Dr. M’s team and Sarfaraz’s team a match apiece.
ChangedRemoved the yellow “2026 in progress” banner from the 2026 view, and dropped the icons from the Dismissal Breakdown, Consistency Index and Player vs Player headings.
FixedScorecards now read the date from the sheet’s title row, so a game day still works even if its Excel tab was left unnamed. Match results that say “Team One/Two” (instead of “Team 1/2”) are now parsed for the day headline too.
v1.3.2June 15, 2026
DataMay 18 & May 25, 2025 added — these two game days had match PDFs but no Excel sheets, so they were missing. They’re now parsed straight from the PDFs and folded into every stat, the head-to-head, and the scorecard archive. 2025 now spans 45 game days, and Sarfaraz picks up the 2 Player-of-the-Day wins he’d been missing.
AddedA PDF scorecard parser (pdf_days.py) so any future game day that exists only as a PDF can be included without waiting on the Excel file.
v1.3.1June 15, 2026
ChangedPlayer Profile now lists only players with at least 10 career innings (2025+2026 combined), plus a few requested regulars (Pratyaksh, Sartaj, Archit, Vikrant, Mukesh). Trims the dropdown from 46 to 28.
FixedCatch attribution — fielders noted with assists or shared catches (“Karan (Ball Assist)”, “Nakul (cheat Karan)”, “Ranjit & Shiva”) were being counted as separate players. Those catches now go to the real fielder, and the phantom names are gone everywhere.
AddedJune 14, 2026 day highlights — now feature Shubhang’s 15 that gave the chase a flying start (15 for 1 before a collapse to 20 all out), alongside Dr. M’s Player-of-the-Day all-rounder and KM’s three-in-an-over.
VerifiedPlayer-of-the-Day counts cross-checked against the scorecard medals — the award always goes to the day’s highest total-points player, with no ties. (Heads-up: May 18 & 25, 2025 have match PDFs but no Excel sheets, so those two days aren’t in the data yet.)
v1.3.0June 15, 2026The Player Profile Update
AddedPlayer Profile tab — pick any player to see a dedicated dashboard: a photo slot, career totals split by season (trophies / runs / wickets / catches), career-best score and bowling figures, and a Career / 2025 / 2026 scope toggle that re-scopes every chart and insight below.
AddedProfile insights — most runs & wickets by month, favourite victims, the top 5 bowlers who dismiss the player most, top batting scores and bowling figures with dates, and ranked “standout match days” with their impact.
AddedProfile charts — runs & wickets by year, a dismissal-type doughnut (“how they get out”), and a month-by-month runs/wickets graph, all with smooth transitions.
AddedTwo Overview charts: Most Wickets in a Month — by Player and Best Bowling Spell — by Month (mirroring the batting charts).
DataJune 14, 2026 game day added — 2026 now spans 21 game days (Dr. M’s 31.6-pt day; stumpings, a not-out chase and did-not-bat rows all captured).
v1.2.0June 11, 2026The Archive Update
AddedScorecard Archive — the Scorecards tab now has Year and Game Day filters covering every day played: all 43 game days of 2025 and all 20 of 2026, each with full innings tables, match results, day benchmarks and the official points table (sourced from the match-day PDFs).
AddedDay Highlights — automatic milestone cards on every archived scorecard: five-wicket hauls, multi-wicket overs, 20+ scores and super overs are detected from the data. (June 7, 2026 keeps its hand-curated milestones.)
AddedMonth filter on the Overview tab — view any single month of 2025 or 2026: totals, top-10 leaderboards and game-day counts recompute for that month, and the monthly charts spotlight the selected bar.
AddedSmooth transitions throughout — animated tab switches and content swaps when changing filters. No plugins required; pure CSS.
AddedVersion badge in the header linking to this changelog.
ChangedConsistency Index now ranks only the top 10 players by innings, keeping the chart readable.
Changed“Latest Scorecard” tab renamed to Scorecards; the most recent game day loads by default.
v1.1.3June 8, 2026
DataJune 7, 2026 game day added — scorecard, stats and head-to-head updated (Karan’s 5-in-an-over, Sarfaraz’s 5/4, KM’s first 20+ of the season).
AddedDay Milestones section on the scorecard.
ChangedDismissal Breakdown doughnut now shows 3 Miss and Stumped as their own slices instead of lumping them into “Other”.
v1.1.2June 7, 2026
AddedDismissal Network tab — interactive force-directed graph (D3) of who gets whom out; tap a player to isolate their web.
AddedAnalysis tab — Dismissal Breakdown doughnut, Consistency Index and Player vs Player radar comparison.
FixedRadar chart normalisation — each axis is scaled against the league leader, so touching the edge means #1 in that stat.
v1.1.1June 6, 2026
AddedMonthly Trends tab with per-player month-by-month lines and a player picker.
AddedOverview charts: Most Runs in a Month by player and Highest Single Innings by month.
ChangedHead-to-head cells at 65%+ of the maximum get high-contrast text; bowling table gained Nemesis and Favourite Victim columns.
v1.1.0June 5, 2026Two Seasons
Added2026 season with a year switcher — every tab re-renders for the selected season; in-progress badge for the current year.
AddedPython extraction pipeline (extract_stats.py) — reads every monthly Excel scorebook and regenerates the site data in one command.
FixedDismissal logic — OOF now counts as out (bowler credited, included in H2H); “Did not bat” rows skipped entirely. Not-out tallies were previously inflated.
FixedName normalisation — Dr M / Dr . M and Manish / Chhota Manish merged into single players.
v1.0.0June 4, 2026First Release
AddedSingle-file SCG Stats Hub — works offline in any browser, no server needed.
AddedOverview cards and Top 10 leaderboards; sortable Batting and Bowling tables (10-innings filter for rate stats).
AddedHead-to-Head dismissal matrix and the latest match-day scorecard.
DataFull 2025 season extracted from the monthly Excel scorebooks: 43 game days, 47 players.
